Would you recommend playing Arkham Asylum before Arkham City?

I've seen that the reviews for Arkham City are very positive, but I haven't played Arkham Asylum. Do you think it would make much of a difference if I haven't played the first game? I'd rather not goback and play it, but if it's recommended, I will.Would you recommend playing Arkham Asylum before Arkham City?
There's no story issue here, I recommend playing Arkham City first just because it's an open-world game.
Play asylum first. You don't want to play the better game first (I'm assuming City is gonna be amazing) and then play the other one because you won't appreciate Asylum as much then. You need to play Arkham Asylum first. It's one of the best games out there. Plus it will give you an idea of what to expect in Arkham City. Also you don't want to play a sequel wondering about whats going on in the story that you don't know do you?

you should start with Asylum because once City comes out Asylum will be dirt cheap,

and after you play thru it City should come down in price tremendously.

No. You'll probably enjoy AC more if you don't play AA. You can try AA afterwards.
There is no story line issue like he said. But AA was an AMAZING game and is probably really cheap right now and AC isn't even out si. I highly recumbent AA i had a blast playing it
